Music Lessons with Aaron Greenhood

Arrangements for lesson schedules and tuition are contracted as five individual sessions of 2 months:

Nov/Dec - Jan/Feb - Mar/Apr - May/June - July/August - Sept/Oct

1. I will call you on the phone and/or send an email during the last week of each two-month period to discuss registration for the upcoming next session. At this time I let students/parents know which weeks I will be available to teach over the next two months and students/parents let me know which lessons they will commit to attending. If you know you'll have a scheduling conflict for a particular week's lesson, we can try to schedule that lesson at another available time that week. It is imperative that students commit to consistent lessons attendance unless they will be out-of-town, or celebrating a birthday, major religious or national holiday, or the winter/spring school vacation. A key to positive results with private music lessons is directly related to maintaining consistent attendance. I make every effort possible to be regularly available. Our goal: to have 7 or 8 lessons in a two-month session.





2. Tuition payment for the two-month period is due in full, in advance of the next session. For example, the scheduling email or phone call for Nov/Dec takes place during the last week of October; payment is given to me at the student's lesson that week in advance of Nov 1st. Lesson fees are $30 for one-half hour.
   



3. 
   Payment method: Cash (receipt available upon request), or personal check. If payment is made by check and that check bounces due to insufficient funds in your account, a $25 CASH fee is then due to cover my banking redeposit fees. If more than one check bounces, future tuition payments will be cash only.
   




4. 
   If I have to cancel a lesson for any reason whatsoever (illness, bad weather, scheduling crisis, etc.) you will be credited for the fee you have paid for that lesson. The fee for that canceled lesson will be paid back to you if we have not been able to find a mutually convenient time to reschedule that lesson. The funds can be transferred to you by check, or deducted from your next two-month scheduling period tuition.
   



5. 
   If you, the student or parents of the student, have to cancel a lesson for any reason whatsoever you will not be credited for the money paid to me in advance for that lesson.
   



6. 
   Due to the close physical proximity that occurs during private music lessons, it is absolutely necessary that students NEVER attend any lesson when sick. There is the very real possibility that I may catch whatever illness they may have.
   



7. 
   LESSON MAKE-UP POLICY: Students and/or their parents must call me as soon as they become aware that a lesson is to be canceled, informing me of the pending absence. We discuss the available rescheduling options at that time. PLEASE NOTE: It is the responsibility of the student's parent (or adult student) to contact me in order to schedule a suitable time for a make-up lesson covering any lessons that they have recently missed. This must be done within the two-month scheduling period. Make-up lesson credits WILL NOT be able to be carried over into the following two-month session. Make-up lessons must be scheduled within the two-month scheduling session they were committed to and paid for. Make-ups must take place on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. No make-ups are available on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
   




8. 
   I will always try my best to schedule a make-up lesson during another open time slot for a student who has pre-paid for a lesson and missed that lesson. However, please keep in mind that my very tight and busy professional schedule does not allow me to guarantee a make-up lesson within the two-month session.
